State Meet

Jefferson City

Saturday November 7, 2009

Friday:

We will leave school at 10:00 (van decorating ????). We will eat lunch in Sedalia. We will go to the hotel and check in, if possible. We will head to the course about 3:00 (we can't get on it until 3:30) so we can buy our shirts (make sure you bring your money). We will spend enough time at the course for everyone to get comfortable with it. We will then head back to our rooms, get cleaned up and go to dinner.

Plan to wear workout clothes on the van so we don't have to change.

Friday night:

Once we get cleaned up we will have a nice dinner (we'll talk about appropriate attire). We will eat at 6:30 at the hotel. The food will be brought in from Dominico's

Saturday:

7:30 Wake-up call

8:30 Leave hotel

10:30 Coaches meeting

10:30 Start getting ready

11:40 Head for starting line

12:05 The fun begins
1:45(Approxiamately) Class 3 Awards

Directions to the our hotel.

We are staying at the Candlewood Suites, 3514 Amazonas Drive,

Take US 50 Hwy east toward Jefferson City.

Exit on Truman Rd.

Turn right (back over the highway).

Go about 600 yards and turn right on Amazonas (there is a bank time/temperature clock at the turn).

Directions to the course from the hotel.

East on Hwy 50 to Hwy 54. You must make a right hand turn off Hwy 50 to Hwy 54. Stay on Hwy 54 for a couple miles. Get off on the Ellis Blvd. exit (top of the hill past Stadium Dr.). Turn left at the stop light at the end of the exit ramp. The course is about a half mile on Ellis.

Directions to the course from Sion.

Take I-435 East to I-470 East (to Lee's Summit). Stay on I-470 to Hwy 50 East. Stay on Hwy 50 to Jefferson City. Once in Jefferson City take Hwy 50 to Hwy 54. You must make a right hand turn off Hwy 50 to Hwy 54. Stay on Hwy 54 for a couple miles. Get off on the Ellis Blvd. exit (top of the hill past Stadium Dr.). Turn left at the stop light at the end of the exit ramp. The course is about a half mile on Ellis.

*Parking at the course is limited. The MSHSAA is providing shuttle bus service between the course and Jefferson City High School. If you would like to ride the shuttle bus, get off on the Stadium Dr. exit. At the bottom of the exit ramp turn right (back under Hwy 54). The school is about a half mile on your left.
